About Me
I am an electronics technician for a POS repair company in Danville. My hobbies include, but are not limited too, Fish, Fishing, computer games, and traveling. I'm 24 years old, married for over a year now and have been in the hobby of saltwater since the age of 6. My mom got me a 35 hex with a CBS and a damsel.

About My First Reef
My first reef tank was a 20 gallon high with Power Compacts and a wet/dry filter. I had a sea clone type skimmer on it and a few easy to keep corals in it. I learned that water quality was important and that the husbandry to this hobby should be studied to determine which corals will live and thrive in your tank.

Lets jump ahead.
Well.. After the 20 and many other fish only tanks I got a 75-gallon tank and setup up a reef in it. The setup of a tank is the most fun. I had power compacts on it and a make shift sump. A Berlin skimmer and dripped Kalk constantly. My calcium level stayed high and I had enough coralline algae to feed a small nation! The tank grew rapidly and the corals were doing very well until..... That dreaded saw blade calurepa.. That stuff grows like a weed. So, at this time my inhabitants were outgrowing their home and so time to move on.
I went to my LFS and ordered a 180-gallon tank, 3 halides and 2 VHO setup. Added about 175lbs of live rock and away we went.

After a while with the 2 VHO stup I ordered some more from Tropical Fish Land in Jackson TN. Richard was working there at that time and gave me a deal. So now I have 4 VHO lights. 3 actinics and 1 50/50. I really like the color of the tank but next time I will go with a 10k halide instead of my 6500k.

I could bore you with all the details but I am just to lazy to type it all..

Basic equipment is:
Sump
Lights
Skimmer
Calcium Reactor
and other small things

I do not add anything except for Logul's Solution 2 times a week at half the dossage.
I DO NOT belive in chemaicals. I think (opinion here) you should strive to keep your tank as "natrual" as possible. But that is my opinion.
